Endurance might not be among his virtues right now, but his determination remains - and besides. If it took an effort to get to this point, surely he's unlikely to spill himself at the drop of a hat. There's a smile tugging at his mouth as he says it. He expects she'll have mercy on him eventually, and he'll make that mercy worth her while, and in the meantime, she'll torture her by putting her mouth everywhere besides the place he'd like to feel it. In revenge, he reaches for her ear again, running his now-uncallused fingertips over it, behind it, along her jaw...anywhere he can reach that seems likely to arouse a reaction.
